Day 334

I had no idea what to write about this time, so I started playing around with some rhyming words and I liked pretense/defense. Eventually, it turned into this.

Disengaged
Meaningless pretense,
just another defense
whenever things start
to get far too intense.
Something to cling to
when nothing makes sense
to make sure that you stay
safely on the fence.
