Day 332

I was helping my mother set her new Wii yesterday and I’m more than a little embarrassed to admit that it took us about 10 minutes to realize that the reason that nothing was showing up on the tv was because the composite cables were plugged in wrong. Of course, that gave me the idea for today’s poem.

Is it plugged in?
It was just working perfectly,
nothing wrong that I could see
but that didn’t last too long
before it all went very wrong.
It could be something obvious
and I may just be oblivious.
I only wish that I knew
what exactly I should do.

Day 331

I bought a new guitar last week and (as I’m writing this) it’s going to be delivered tomorrow, which gave me the initial idea for this one.

Want
Time seems to stop
in anticipation,
ushering in
a growing fixation.
A mindless, insatiable
infatuation
unable to resist
the slightest temptation.
